On Feb. 21-23, the WWETT Show 2019 will be held at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Ind. The event for the wastewater industry hosts more than 13,000 registered professionals including 1,237 international visitors from 56 countries.
This year there will be more than 600 exhibiting companies filling approximately 350,000 net sq ft of expo space. The show will extend into Lucas Oil Stadium, the home of the Indianapolis Colts. This venue houses WWETT Live!, a festival event featuring heavy-equipment demonstrations, on-field games and activities, and the Spartan Tool Kick Off Party.
This year will bring new additions to WWETT Live! The National Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association will be hosting the National Backhoe ROE-D-HOE Championship Competition. The competition is a two-day open event where attendees who are skilled at Backhoe Operating will compete by use the backhoe/shovel to move small objects such as a golf ball or bowling pin in a race against time. The contestants will participate in three games – basketball, golf, and bowling. The competition is timed and will have give the contestants with the top three times winning up to $1,000 in cash prizes.
In addition to the competitors at the WWETT Show, champions from state ROE-D-HOE competitions held around the country will also participate. The champion will be presented with the Championship Belt to wear for the day. No early sign in required and contestants may register onsite for a nominal $5 fee.
