PC Construction will donate a total of $15,000 to nonprofits in greater Portland, Maine based on the results of a public vote.
The general contractor, with offices in Portland, announced the 10 finalists for its charitable-giving program, “Building Communities: PC Construction Gives Back,” which were selected by the company’s employee-owners.
During the month of March, the public is asked to vote and help determine which three organizations will receive $10,000, $3,000 and $2,000 in donations from PC Construction. This is the fourth round of the crowdsourced giving program that the 100% employee-owned company started in 2013.
“From the Portland Museum of Art and the Canal Plaza towers to the InterMed Building and IDEXX’s Synergy Center, PC Construction has been a part of the fabric of southern Maine for decades,” said Joe Picoraro, P.E., LEED AP, vice president of PC Construction. “To thank our community for the opportunity to build and grow in greater Portland, we’re asking them to help us give back. Regardless of the outcome, all of these organizations are winners who deserve strong community support.”
