Water Purifier Meets Requirements of US Military Small Unit Tests

Feb. 28, 2013
Purifier is in use by the Naval Special Warfare Group, U.S. Army Special Forces, U.S. Marine Corps & U.S. Air Force units.

Seldon Technologies Inc. announced that the Seldon WaterBox 300 MIL has passed the NSF P248 Protocol, Appendix B, assuring military personnel of safe drinking water, free of viruses, bacteria and cysts, anywhere in the world.

The Seldon WaterBox 300 MIL is a small unit water purifier using patented nano–filtration technology and is the first of Seldon’s product line to pass the NSF P248 protocol.

P248 is a test protocol designed by the U.S. Army Military Public Health Command and administered by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF Intl.) which ensures rigorous performance requirements are met.

“In order to assure that our men and women in the U.S. armed services are not rendered combat ineffective by poor quality water, the U.S. Military has developed one of the most rigorous protocols in NSF P248,” said Roger S. Miller, president of Seldon Technologies. “It is truly a major achievement for the Seldon team and a testament to our Nanomesh technology that we exceeded the requirements. We are honored to support our troops.”

The WaterBox delivers purified water without the need for chemicals, heat or wait time. The unit can be set up in less than five minutes and the filtration technology removes harmful pathogens and reduces sediment.

Already in use by the Naval Special Warfare Group, U.S. Army Special Forces, U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Air Force units, the WaterBox MIL 300 is field proven in multiple challenging environments.
