Alex Harper, Central Arkansas Water | 2022 WWD Young Pros

He may not have known it at the time, but Alex Harper’s high school geospatial project that would earn him a state award would be the catalyst to national and global recognition for his GIS work. By overseeing a regional organization, he is at the forefront of using GIS systems to improve utility coordination across verticals.

Harper is the GIS manager for Central Arkansas water where he also oversees Pulaski Area GIS, which includes other utilities in its GIS network. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and three children in the great outdoors.
