Perkasie Regional Authority (PRA), Sellersville, PA serves the Borough of Perkasie and surrounding communities. Located in Bucks County, north of Philadelphia, PRA has provided high-quality, cost-effective water and sewer services to its growing residential and business customer base for more than a century.
To ensure an adequate supply of water for drinking and use in fire emergency situations PRA added 6 booster pumps at an existing, 100’ tall, two million gallon, public water system tank. The added pressure created by the pumps will affect a 3 mile stretch of service area in the communities of East and West Rockhill.
PRA tasked local Easi-Set Building producer M&W Precast, LLC to design and produce a structure to house the pumps. Located within a few miles of the intended location, M&W of Ottsville, PA was able to engineer a precast concrete Water Booster Station Building to house all the pump equipment and also meet the aesthetic needs of the community.
“The structure is engineered to last for decades of heavy service with little maintenance, while at the same time having a residential-like appearance,” said J. David Worthington, Easi-Set Building Sales Manager, M&W Precast. “It’s not a building with an industrial look. It blends right in with the neighborhood.”
