February 2017 event to commemorate declaration

Dec. 7, 2016, was declared Bell & Gossett Day in the state of Illinois.

Bell & Gossett, a Xylem brand, is a manufacturer of pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and accessories for plumbing, wastewater and HVAC applications. On Dec. 7, 1941, the company moved from its Chicago location to the new Xylem facility in Morton Grove, Ill. The date commemorates a historic move for the company. 

Cook County, Ill., Commissioners Peter N. Silvestri and Larry Suffredin will deliver an official proclamation for the declaration at an event Feb. 9, 2017. The event will be held at the Morton Grove facility and will feature a facility tour and an update on the company.
