Envirosight Acquires MyTana Mfg.
Envirosight, a provider of sewer inspection and rehab technology, completed the acquisition of MyTana Mfg. in an all-cash deal July 31. MyTana, headquartered in St. Paul, Minn., is a manufacturer and distributor of cleaning, maintenance, and inspection tools for the plumber and drain cleaning markets.
“At Envirosight, we’ve been fortunate to enjoy exceptional organic growth since our inception 15 years ago,” said Richard Lindner, president of Envirosight. “With revenue increasing more than 20% annually in recent years, we now have the means to fund additional expansion through acquisition of companies in kindred markets—ones that share our commitment to innovation and market-leading service and support. The fit and timing couldn’t have been better; MyTana’s fundamentals were extremely solid, so we pushed to complete this deal in under four months.”
Headquartered in Randolph, N.J., Envirosight has built brands for sewer inspection crawlers, zoom survey cameras and video nozzles. The company also maintains a service and support network, with more than 20 locations in North America. In addition, Envirosight delivers more than 1,000 inspection systems a year, with many being housed in custom-built inspection trucks from its facilities in Pennsylvania and California.
“MyTana had several suitors, but Envirosight was the clear choice for us,” said Jock Donaldson, president of MyTana. “They’re a company that started with a simple vision and succeeded through hard work, attention to detail, and a commitment to delighting customers. They also understand that relentless growth is the key to capturing the market—size simply gives you the resources to accomplish greater things. I’m excited to watch MyTana grow with the benefit of Envirosight’s expertise and investment.”
MyTana joins Pipeline Renewal Technologies, a supplier of sewer rehab technologies to municipal contractors, in the growing family of Envirosight companies. Although Donaldson will be retiring from his role as president by end of year, MyTana General Manager Dale Graber will stay on with the company and will join the Envirosight management team. Continuity of the MyTana brand, facilities, products and customer service standards will be a point of emphasis throughout the transition.
