Voltea selected as partner for the Align Project Sustainable Home; Grundfos collaborates with Cambodia

Voltea Selected as Partner for the Align Project Sustainable Home

Voltea has been selected as the residential water treatment solution for Green Builder Media’s The Align Project – a sustainable home that features only the top forward-thinking products and technologies.

The demonstration home will be featured at two of the biggest technology- and building-focused trade shows in the country: the Consumer Electronics Show, organized by the Consumer Technology Association, and the National Association of Home Builders International Builders’ Show.

Buckman Announces North America Price Increase

Buckman has announced price increases in North America for its water, leather and performance chemicals divisions.

The increases are being driven by rising raw materials, constraints from supply chain tightness and growing challenges associated with freight costs. The price increases will be effective Jan. 1, 2019, or as contracts allow.

Grundfos Collaborates with Cambodia

Grundfos and Cambodia have confirmed that they will exchange a Letter of Intent to strengthen cooperation in water management, in an effort to reduce the cost of water and increase access to clean, quality water in the country.

His Excellency Cham Prasidh, Minister of Industry & Handicraft, Cambodia and Mr. Leong Chee Khuan, Area Managing Director – South Asia, Grundfos highlighted that the Letter of Intent will include an endorsement of Grundfos by the Cambodian government, welcoming its latest technology and business models to reduce non-revenue water and boost water management efficiency.

Kenosha Water Utility Receives Recognition

Centrisys/ CNP, Kenosha, Wisconsin is proud to announce that their customer, Kenosha Water Utility, was honored at this year’s WEFTEC. On behalf of the partners of the Utility of the Future Today Joint Recognition Program, the company had been deemed a “Utility of the Future Today” recipient and has been recognized for their achievement. Among forty applications, thirty-two utilities were honored.

The selection committee, consisting of six peer utility general managers/executives, had determined that the application submitted by the Kenosha Water Utility company met the criteria in the Activity Area of Partnering and Engagement.

City of Waco Signs Contract with Itron

Itron, Inc. signed a contract with the City of Waco, Texas, to install Itron’s OpenWay Riva IoT solution, including smart water communication modules and leak sensors, to reduce water loss and improve water delivery for the utility’s nearly 45,000 customers. The utility will take advantage of Itron Analytics, a software-as-a-service offering that collects and analyzes data within the distribution network to improve operational awareness.

To upgrade its water metering infrastructure and improve operational efficiency, the City of Waco will deploy 45,000 communication modules and 12,000 leak sensors. With an open, standards-based network, the utility will improve efficiency and reduce water loss by gaining access to high resolution consumption data and insights that will enable utility personnel to pinpoint and address problems quickly.
