The presentation focuses on the processes, industry certifications and testing (including ETL-verification and UL-6 Listing) standard that ensures proper PVC coating adhesion for long term conduit system protection in wastewater treatment facilities.

Corrosion is an extremely costly and potentially dangerous problem. It destroys the physical integrity of conduit and fittings, causing substantial damage and creating a potentially dangerous work environment. A wastewater treatment plant contains just about the greatest potential for steel pipe and tank microbiology influenced corrosion (MIC).

When metal conduit is installed in an area defined as both hazardous and corrosive, special considerations must be given to the selection of conduit system materials. Although PVC coating does not naturally bond to zinc, it is important to understand the bonding agents available that ensure a secure seal between the zinc layer and PVC coating, eliminating chances for corrosion. This webinar will focus on the processes, industry certifications and testing (including ETL-verification and UL-6 Listing) standard that ensures proper PVC coating adhesion for long term conduit system protection in wastewater treatment facilities.
