Dewberry Selected for Baltimore Water Main Project

Contract focuses on eight miles of aging water mains

Dewberry, a national consultant with an office in Baltimore, has been selected to provide water design and engineering services for the Bureau of Water and Wastewater within the Baltimore Department of Public Works. The contract, valued at approximately $1 million, focuses on improvements to eight miles of the city’s aging water mains.

The work includes water main assessment and determination of the need to rehabilitate or replace the existing infrastructure, design, construction documentation and cost estimating. Baltimore’s Bureau of Water and Wastewater maintains approximately 3,400 miles of water mains throughout the city and county.

Dewberry has completed a number of water and wastewater engineering projects for the bureau in recent years. In addition to local planning and engineering staff, the firm offers comprehensive building design, civil infrastructure and management consulting expertise from more than 40 offices throughout the country.
