Nominations Open for WWEMA/W&WD Scholarship

Scholarship supports young water & wastewater professionals
Water & Wastes Digest and the Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Assn. (WWEMA) opened nominations for the WWEMA/W&WD Scholarship. Applications are due Friday, Oct. 20. Every year, W&WD supports future water and wastewater professionals by awarding $1,000 to a student seeking a career in a water- or wastewater-related field. To qualify for the scholarship, students must have a parent employed by a WWEMA-member company and must be accepted into a four-year bachelor’s program in an acceptable field of study by an accredited institution of higher learning. Examples of acceptable fields of study include biology, chemical engineering, chemistry, civil engineering, environmental engineering, environmental sciences and/or natural resources planning.
