Water Leaders Summit 2018 to Emphasize Demand for Water Technology

May 22, 2018

Global water industry leaders will descend upon Milwaukee, Wisc., from June 27 to 28, 2018

The Water Council will hold the 2018 iteration of its annual Water Leaders Summit in Milwaukee, Wisc., from June 27 to 28, 2018. Registration is now open for the event, which will focus on a theme of increased demand for water technologies by global industries, and will be hosted by Rich Meeusen, president/chairman/CEO of Badger Meter Inc. and co-chair for The Water Council.

The summit, which will be held at the Garage at the Harley-Davidson Museum, will stray from its usual format of “breakout sessions”, instead opting for brief story starters that will lead into discussions between the moderator and various global water leaders. Past renditions of the event focused on securing water needs of the future and establishing water resilient cities.

The event will serve host to a variety of speakers representing a diverse array of companies and organizations involved with the water industry. Beyond the dynamic discussions, the agenda for the summit will also allot ample time for networking opportunities for all attendees.

Milwaukee is positioned on the largest freshwater ecosystem in the world, Lake Michigan, and the region of southeastern Wisconsin serves as home to over 200 water technology businesses, academic programs and economic development organizations geared towards improving the state of freshwater and freshwater technologies.

The first Water Leaders Summit was held in July 2007, making this the 11th iteration of the event. It grew from humble beginnings, as the event accommodated approximately 60 individuals during its inaugural run, and now serves host to hundreds of industry individuals over the two-day event.
