US Water Alliance Announces Water Equity Network

Oct. 1, 2020

The US Water Alliance announced the Water Equity Network.

U.S. Water Alliance is proud to announce the Water Equity Network, a nationwide community of practice to advance equitable water management practices at the local, state, and national levels.

In 2017, the US Water Alliance released An Equitable Water Future, a definitive report on how to leverage water investment to create social, economic, and environmental benefits for all people.

U.S. Water Alliance will work with cities across the country to scale this work through the Water Equity Network, composed of representatives from local water and wastewater utilities, organizations serving vulnerable communities, environmental groups, and more.

“Water For People is thrilled to announce our partnership with the US Water Alliance," said Eleanor Allen, CEO Water For People in the press release. "Our vision is a world where every person has access to reliable and safe drinking water and sanitation. This creates a more secure water future for all - what we both aspire to achieve. I know we will have many opportunities to work together as the interconnections in water increase between the US and the rest of the world, especially in light of the new Sustainable Development Goals.”

“The US Water Alliance is so pleased to announce this partnership with Water For People, an incredible organization working to ensure clean drinking water and sanitation services globally," said Radhika Fox, CEO US Water Alliance. "Our shared vision is for a more secure water future for all, here in America and around the world. We are looking forward to opportunities to work together and support each other’s work.”
