WATERCON 2012

March 19, 2012 - March 22, 2012

Location: Springfield, IL

The Illinois Section of American Water Works Association (ISAWWA) will host its annual conference and expo from March 19 through March 22, 2012, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Conference Center in Springfield.  WATERCON 2012 is a joint effort offered by both Illinois Section AWWA and the Illinois Water Environment Association and is Illinois’ largest water and wastewater conference and expo.  The event offers an opportunity to water and wastewater professionals to exhibit, attend training sessions, and compete in technical competitions.

The conference kicks off on Monday, March 19, with technical sessions from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and continues with sessions offered each day until noon on Thursday, March 22. These sessions offer technical credits for water operators, professional engineers and others. The focus is on various topics including energy and efficiency, management, engineering, water quality and operations.  In addition to these sessions, the conference’s special water museum and exhibit hall will be open on March 20 and March 21. The exhibit hall hours have been extended this year and will feature over 200 exhibitors.

Throughout the conference, live competitions will be held in metering, operations and water quality.  Winners from these events will compete at the national American Water Works Association conference in June.  In addition, fun events such as a new putting contest and return of the Texas Hold’em tournament will also be held during the conference.

The entire agenda as well as registration and exhibitor forms are available on ISAWWA’s new website at www.isawwa.org. Early registration and hotel reservations are recommended. Questions regarding the WATERCON 2012 should be directed to Laurie Dougherty at [email protected] or (866) 521-3595, extension 1.
