DWR Announces Groundwater Grant Applications and Schedules Workshops

The Department of Water Resources announced that final applications for grants and loans for the Groundwater Recharge and Groundwater Storage Construction Programs are now available for review.
For fiscal year 2002-03, grants totaling $76,840,000 are available for the Groundwater Storage Construction program and loans totaling $8,720,000 are available for the Groundwater Recharge Construction program.
Applications for the Groundwater Storage Construction grant program can be obtained through the DWR website at www.dpla2.water.ca.gov/grants-loans/gwater-grant/app.shtml.
The application for the Groundwater Recharge Construction loan program is available at www.dpla2.water.ca.gov/grants-loans/gwater-loan/app.shtml.
DWR also will be hosting three workshops in April regarding requirements for submitting applications under the Groundwater Storage and Recharge Programs.
