David Conover, CCM, CPC, has joined HDR as national director of construction management for the company’s water business group. He will be based in HDR’s Folsom office.
In addition to his responsibilities for expanding and managing the national program, Conover will serve as the construction services manager for the northern California transportation and environmental groups.
Prior to joining HDR, Conover was director of project management for the Sacramento Regional Transit District, where he was responsible for supervising all activities associated with the successful completion of the $222 million South Sacramento Light Rail Extension project. He has more than 28 years of experience in construction management, and has been responsible for managing a wide range of public- and private-sector projects throughout the western U.S.
A certified construction manager and certified professional constructor, Conover is on the board of governors of the Construction Manager Certification Institute and is past president of the Construction Management Association Northern California chapter. He is a subject matter expert for both the American Institute of Constructors and the American Public Transportation Association. He serves on the UC Davis, CM Certification and Transportation Management advisory board, and is a member of the American Public Works Association.
