AgION Technologies Appoints Stuart R. Patterson as CEO

AgION Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of engineered antimicrobial solutions, announced that Stuart R. Patterson has joined the company as CEO and director. Building on a year of significant market growth and record company sales, Patterson will be responsible for leading AgION’s expansion in target markets including food and water, textiles, construction, consumer products and healthcare.

Before joining AgION, Patterson was president of Patterson Leadership Consulting, LLC, a provider of strategic consulting services to private equity funds and their portfolio CEOs. Previously, he was president of ScanSoft, now Nuance, the leading provider of speech and imaging solutions for businesses and consumers. Prior to ScanSoft, he was President and CEO of SpeechWorks Intl., where he led their growth into a highly respected market leader, successful IPO in 2000 and eventual merger with ScanSoft. Patterson also served as vice president at Voxware, Inc. and was co-founder and CEO of Vicorp Interactive Systems. Patterson started his career in Europe at France Telecom and Hewlett Packard.

Currently, Patterson is chairman of the board of Courion, Inc. and also serves on the Board of the Dimock Community Health Center in Roxbury, Mass. Previously, he has served on several other boards for companies including ScanSoft, SpeechWorks and BBG New Media.
Patterson received a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University and an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management.
