International Water Association to Hold Conference on Membranes for Water and Wastewater Treatment

The fourth International Water Association (IWA) conference on membranes for water and wastewater treatment has 154 confirmed speakers, presenting a total of 160 papers over the three-day event, May 15 to 17, 2007 in Harrogate, U.K. In addition, there are in 60 poster presentations confirmed.

The conference is looking to attract about 500 delegates from a cross section of industry and academia, with 30% of current registrations representing industry and the remainder from research institutes. Delegates that are registered come, not only from Europe, but also from 15 other nations, as far and wide as Korea and Brazil. Delegate reservations can be made with [email protected].

Papers being presented include, amongst others: membrane bioreactors (anaerobic and aerobic), portable water membrane filtration, municipal and industrial wastewater treatment and recycling, organic fouling of membranes for potable water treatment, pre-coagulation and other treatment, desalination, and simulation, modeling and control.
