Godwin Pumps Wins 2007 Forbes Enterprise Award

March 2, 2007

Godwin Pumps has been selected as the winner of the 2007 Forbes Enterprise Award in the business services category.

President John Michael Paz and Sales Manager Michael Delzingaro represented Godwin at the award ceremony at the Lincoln Center in New York City earlier this month.

Sponsored by Forbes Magazine, Verizon, FedEx, AIG, American Express and the United Way, the Forbes Awards recognize excellence in five areas: marketing, customer service, employee relations, community services and new product/service offerings.

“Being recognized by Forbes magazine is a great honor. More than that, though, it’s a tribute to the hard work of our 600 employees around the world,” says Paz.

Last year, Paz received the Executive of the Year Award from NJBiz. And in 2005, he was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award in Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year competition. He was also inducted into the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Hall of Fame at a ceremony in Palm Springs, Calif.

A 1978 graduate of Dickinson College, Paz joined Godwin Pumps upon his graduation. He became president in 1985, and opened the first Godwin Pumps rental office in 1990.

Godwin makes and distributes industrial pumps used for municipal sewer bypass work and to drain mines, quarries and construction sites.

Today Godwin Pumps maintains a fleet of more than 5,000 portable rental pumps and related accessories in 24 company-owned locations throughout the U.S.

With home offices on two continents and distributor locations worldwide, Godwin employs more than 600 people and has annual sales in excess of $165 million.
