CH2M HILL’s Mickelson Recognized by AWRA

Mike Mickelson, a senior project manager in CH2M HILL’s Salt Lake City office, was honored by the American Water Resource Association Utah Section for his work in the water resources private sector.

Each year the AWRA Utah Section recognizes individuals that have demonstrated outstanding service and commitment to the water resources community and have had a significant impact in managing Utah’s precious water resources.

Throughout his career, Mickelson has exemplified his commitment to the local water resource community and has been a leader in the responsible development of Utah's limited water resources. He has been a key participant in the planning, design and construction of many large water projects throughout the state of Utah. Projects representative of his expertise in Utah include the $35 million Olmsted Flowline Replacement Project, the Big Sand Wash Reservoir Enlargement Project and the Uinta Basin Replacement Project.

Mickelson specializes in master planning of water resource projects, irrigation systems, irrigation management, and land application of wastewater.

Additionally, he is often called upon to provide technical expertise in water quality, drainage, and hydropower.
