Elizabeth Treadway, a vice president with the international project management and services company AMEC, has been appointed to the American Public Works Association (APWA) Board of Directors.
While continuing her service with AMEC’s Greensboro, N.C. office, Treadway will be the representative for APWA’s Region III, which includes Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
APWA represents the interests of more than 29,000 members in the fields of engineering, solid waste, water resources, fleet management, urban forestry, emergency management, transportation, and facilities and grounds management. Treadway will serve a one year term, with the option to serve two additional two-year terms, which started at the APWA Congress meeting in San Antonio, Texas on Sept. 9th.
With AMEC, Treadway leads the company’s Water Resources Client Sector in the U.S. She has more than 25 years of management experience, with technical expertise that includes projects involving stormwater quality, control and funding; environmental management; hydro-electric generation; and solid and hazardous wastes.
