12 Ontario Water Facilities Ordered to Meet Standards

Following inspections of 40 facilities in Ontario, 12 water treatment plant operators have been ordered to take corrective action to meet the province's standards for drinking water.

Ontario's Ministry of Environment found four common reasons for corrective action: failure to conform with minimum sampling requirements, failure to maintain disinfecting equipment, failure to confirm with minimum treatment guidelines and operators not properly certified.
