Aqua Vie Enters Chicago

Dec. 28, 2000
Aqua Vie Beverage Corp. announced that the company will commence distribution in the Chicago metro area. In conjunction with its Chicago debut, the company also will be participating as a major presence in the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) Show, held in Chicago May 7-9. FMI's domestic member companies operate approximately 21,000 retail food stores with combined annual sales volume of $220 billion—more than half of all grocery store sales in the United States. FMI's retail membership is composed of large multi-store chains, small regional firms and independent supermarkets. The organization's international membership includes 200 members from 60 countries. The FMI Show is host to thousands of industry decision makers from around the country and around the world. "With 60 days lead time until the FMI Show, we are enthusiastic about opening up the Chicago metro area, which is not only a major market but also a strategic fit for Aqua Vie's growing distribution matrix," said Thomas Gillespie, president and chief executive officer of Aqua Vie.(Source: Aqua Vie Beverage Corp.)
