Tetra Tech Wins More Than $65 Million in Research and Development Contracts

Tetra Tech, Inc., on Oct. 13 has been awarded two EPA research and development contracts worth a combined value of $65 million.

The five-year, $55 million contract from EPA’s National Risk Management Research Laboratory will focus on evaluating new and innovative environmental technologies. The three-year, $10.5 million contract from EPA’s Office of Water will focus on developing engineering and scientific tools to control non-point source water pollution at the state and tribal levels.

"The EPA has entrusted us again with their research funds, and we look forward to the opportunity to advance technical knowledge and develop engineering solutions," said Li-San Hwang, Tetra Tech’s CEO.

EPA Risk Management Laboratory Contract

Tetra Tech will assist the EPA with management, research and development to find new solutions for environmentally contaminated sites, drinking water treatment and source water protection. The expanded scope of this new contract will continue the company’s previous research in physical and chemical processes, and add research in biological, water and wastewater technologies.

EPA Office of Water Contract

Under this contract, Tetra Tech will focus on the development of computer tools for the evaluation of non-point source pollution controls to strengthen state and tribal watershed management. Tetra Tech will develop integrated spatial analysis tools, water quality computer models and data analysis software specifically designed for implementation at the state and tribal levels.
