Osmonics to Close Phoenix Facility

Minnetonka, Minn., Jan. 25 -- In a continuing effort to rationalize product lines and to reduce excess manufacturing capacity, Osmonics has announced plans to close its Phoenix facility by the end of the third quarter 2000. The major product lines will be moved to other Osmonics manufacturing locations where there is available capacity. The Orec™ ozone generator product line will be relocated to the recently expanded, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility within Osmonics' headquarters, located in Minnetonka, Minnesota. The Lakewood Instruments™ product line will be relocated to Osmonics' electrical assembly center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.Employees are being offered either transfers or severance packages.Osmonics is a leading manufacturer and worldwide marketer of high-technology water purification and fluid filtration, fluid separation, and fluid handling equipment, as well as the replaceable components used in purification, filtration, and separation equipment.
