U.S. Offers Funds for Jordan’s Water Shortage

Dec. 28, 2000
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will finance construction of water projects that improve wastewater management and distribution in Jordan. The United States hopes granting the $83 million will ease Jordan’s chronic water shortage, part of a $200 million aid package. This project is in addition to the already spent $307 million-project (since 1997) to help improve water conditions in Jordan. (Source: Reuters)
