BakerCorp, an industry leader in containment, pumping, filtration and shoring equipment rental solutions, recently announced the acquisition of privately held Midwest Underground Technologies, a provider of trench shoring equipment.

“We are excited to add another high-quality organization to the BakerCorp Team,” said Bryan Livingston, President and CEO of BakerCorp. “Midwest Underground Technologies’ equipment, employees and customers complement Baker’s philosophy and extend our ability to deliver effortless turnkey solutions to our customers.”

Midwest Underground Technologies, based in Medina, Ohio, is a full-service provider of excavation safety equipment, all levels of related training and the design and manufacture of related equipment. This acquisition will reinforce Baker’s existing product line and extend the two companies’ geographic reach.

“This is an exciting milestone for our company, and we look forward to extending our growth as part of BakerCorp,” said Dana “Buck” Buchholzer, president of Midwest Underground Technologies. “Baker’s widely recognized brand and customer relationships make it the ideal partner for Midwest. This will create extraordinary growth opportunities for Midwest Underground Technologies, our customers and our employees.”

The transition to BakerCorp is effective Feb. 29, 2008.
