MWH Soft has announced that the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Emirate of Dubai, has elected to deploy multiple licenses of InfoWater Executive Suite and InfoSurge, an ArcGIS-centric (ESRI, Redlands, Calif.) infrastructure modeling, management and optimization software.

DEWA, a government corporation, was formed on Jan. 1, 1992, to take over and merge the independently operating Dubai Electric Co. and Dubai Water Department. Today, DEWA employs a workforce of about 7,700 employees and is the sole supplier of electricity and water to the Emirate of Dubai.

“We are deeply honored to expand our relationship with DEWA and support its vital mission with world-class engineering GIS hydraulic and transient modeling, design and optimization solutions,” Paul F. Boulos, Ph.D., Hon.D.WRE MWH Soft’s president and COO, said. “The increasing adoption rate of our state-of-the-art, industry-leading solutions in the Middle East is a powerful indicator of the value they provide our customers in this water-scarce region. DEWA is clearly aiming for a big technological impact, one with the power to deliver dramatically improved efficiency and enhanced service quality to its customers. We are proud to offer the high-performing software that will enable this prominent agency to set itself apart, enhance its infrastructure management, effect maximum savings and build a foundation for success in the decades to come.”
