WWD Expresses Appreciation to Troops Through ‘We Care’ Packages

July 12, 2010
Staff sends books, DVDs, snacks and other useful items to overseas troops, encourages readers to submit new recipients

Throughout the year, the staff of Water & Wastes Digest collects books, DVDs, snacks and personal care items to send thank-you packages to U.S. troops.

Those with someone near and dear to them who are serving in Iraq or Afghanistan are encouraged to send their names and shipping information, and we will send them a package from their appreciative fans at WWD.

E-mail the soldier’s name and shipping address to Sandi Stevenson at [email protected]. Please include your name and contact information.

Specialist Corey Burnett, pictured, is one of the recent recipients of “We Care” packages. Burnett is stationed in Kuwait.
