WWEMA Hosts Risk Management Event

March 2, 2011
Event will cover risks for manufacturers and suppliers bidding on projects

The Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Assn. (WWEMA) Finance & Contract Administration Council will be hosting an event March 30 and 31 in Indianapolis on the topic “Managing Risk: Challenges Facing the Water and Wastewater Equipment Industry.”

This event is designed to address risks encountered by product manufacturers and suppliers when bidding on water and wastewater projects. Tutorials exploring the pros and cons of two sets of procurement contract documents commonly used in the industry will be provided, along with results of a benchmark study on contract management practices used in the industry. Attendees will learn risk management techniques and take part in an “open mic” discussion on credit risks, export risks associated with the newest version of Incoterms and other risk-related topics.
