Badger Meter CEO Discusses Wisconsin Business Improvement

June 28, 2011
Featured in an interview segment that aired on FOX news, executive highlights the state’s upward business trend and the importance of water and technology

Badger Meter CEO Richard Meeusen was featured in a special FOX Business Network broadcast last week. The segment reported that 88% of business executives who were surveyed recently said the Wisconsin business environment is moving in the right direction, a significant reversal over a similar study conducted last year.

During the interview, Meeusen describes the positive changes occurring in the Wisconsin business climate and the steps the state has taken to get there. While showing the reporter around the Badger Meter headquarters in Milwaukee, Meeusen says the company has paid a dividend to investors for the past 19 years.

“People say water will be the oil of the 21st century,” he said. “I say they’re wrong. There are substitutes for oil—wind, solar—there is no substitute for water.”
