Company will receive the award during WEFTEC 2011 in Los Angeles

Sept. 1, 2011

Aqua-Aerobic Systems Inc. will receive the prestigious Innovative Technology Award from the Water Environment Federation (WEF), an international not-for-profit technical and educational water quality organization. The award will be presented during a ceremony at WEFTEC 2011, the organization’s  annual technical exhibition and conference Oct. 15-19 in Los Angeles.

The Innovative Technology Award, which includes the collection systems, instrumentation, process equipment, and solids handling and disposal categories, is presented annually to WEF associate members who have introduced new innovative products or services related to the construction, operation or maintenance of treatment facilities.

Aqua-Aerobic Systems is being recognized in the instrumentation category for its BNR IntelliPro process monitoring and controls system. The system provides an essential link between operations, equipment and treatment goals with the added benefits of reduced energy consumption.

The system’s enhanced features include automatic adjustment capabilities for biological nutrient removal and chemical addition. Process support is provided for operators through the online BioAlert notification and guidance program, as well as other integrated operation and maintenance support tools.
