The U.S. Department of Commerce announced its final antidumping margins calculated in the third annual administrative review of the antidumping duty order on steam activated carbon from China, reports Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, counsel in the matter to U.S. activated carbon producers.
Activated carbon is used in drinking water, wastewater, odor control and pollution abatement systems.
Margins reflect the Commerce Department's final calculation of the antidumping duty rates to be assessed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection on shipments of steam activated carbon that entered the U.S. between April 1, 2009, and March 31, 2010.
The petitioners in this case are Calgon Carbon Corp. and Norit Americas Inc. They are represented in this investigation by David A. Hartquist, chair of the International Trade and Customs Practice at Kelley Drye & Warren LLP.
