IDE Appoints Orlando Carreño as Regional Director of Sales & Business Development, South America

IDE Technologies Ltd. announced the appointment of Orlando Carreño as the new regional director of sales and business development for South America. With more than 22 years of business development, sales and service-related experience and expertise in the environmental and water treatment fields, Carreño is set to achieve significant growth for IDE’s business in South America.

“The growth potential in the South American desalination market is high because of the demand for fresh water sources due to the pressures of increasing economic development, new industrial projects and a booming population,” said Avshalom Felber, CEO of IDE Technologies Ltd. “With his years of industry experience, Orlando will be instrumental in securing new opportunities in South America.”

Prior to joining IDE, Carreño was the director of sales and business development for the Americas at Aquatech Intl., a global water purification technology company. In addition, he was the western region vice president at Envirogen Technologies Inc., where he spent nearly eight years in water treatment equipment sales and services. He also served as the business development manager of Layne Christensen, a global water management, construction and drilling company. In these roles, Carreño identified and secured new business opportunities to build high-profit, long-term business relationships. He was also responsible for strategic planning, as well as management of regional operation, sales, product and human resource functions.
