Omega Eng. opened its newest office in Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil with an official grand opening on Dec. 16, 2013. This is in line with the company's strategy to expand its business and leadership globally. Headquartered in the U.S., Omega is part of Spectris plc, a supplier of productivity-enhancing instrumentation and controls listed on the London Stock Exchange.

The company appointed Antonio Gomes as the general manager of Omega Eng.g Brazil. Under his leadership, the Omega office and warehouse in Brazil will staff well-trained applications and technical support engineers.

“We feel that our new Brazilian customers will be pleased to have Omega as a reference for process measurement and control—from a single thermocouple wire to another 100,000 possibilities,” Gomes said.
