Danfoss, a manufacturer of high-efficiency electronic and mechanical components and controls for air-conditioning, heating, refrigeration and motion systems, is seeking entries for its fifth annual EnVisioneer of the Year award competition.

Launched in 2010, the competition recognizes U.S. original equipment manufacturers, building owners, municipalities and end users that have introduced a new product, opened a new facility or invested in a building or system upgrade in the past 18 months using Danfoss products or solutions to realize significant energy and/or environmental savings.

Interested participants may enter the competition by submitting an application by April 15, 2014. A panel of third-party judges representing various disciplines will review all submitted applications and select the winner.

“Over the past four years, we have had the opportunity to recognize some outstanding contributions to energy efficiency and environmental responsibility,” commented John Galyen, president of Danfoss North America. “Danfoss is dedicated to improving energy use and reducing emissions around the world, and the EnVisioneer of the Year award is a great way to applaud the achievements of companies finding success today through innovative engineering and readily-available technologies.”

Previous recipients of the EnVisioneer of the Year award have included Mars Super Markets, Multistack, Smardt Chiller Group Inc. and Winn-Dixie.
