IFAT Eurasia Exhibition Fully Booked

Feb. 25, 2015
An outdoor area will be added to increase the capacity of the exhibition area

At six weeks before the start of IFAT Eurasia, all the available space in the exhibition halls is fully booked. An additional outdoor area is therefore now being organized to offer additional capacity. The premiere of this environmental technology show takes place in Ankara, Turkey from April 16 to 18, 2015.

Many key players in the environmental technology sector have signed up to exhibit at the first IFAT Eurasia, and most of them have booked more space than expected by the organizers. To cater for demand, an extension to the exhibition area is now being planned, outdoors. This will also offer the exhibitors the opportunity of presenting larger-scale exhibits.

Among those taking part in Ankara are: ASTİM, BHS Sonthofen, Bilfinger Water Technologies, Endress+Hauser, Grundfos, İzaydaş, Mitsubishi Electric, Netzsch Pumpen & Systeme, Standart Pompa and WILO.

More than 50% of the exhibitors in this show come from outside Turkey. National pavilions of exhibitors from Austria, China, the Czech Republic, France, Germany and Switzerland further underline the internationality of this event.

Participants in IFAT Eurasia can also benefit from a technical and scientific supporting program, called the Innovation Exchange Forum. In cooperation with the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety, a panel discussion on "Intelligent Urbanization" is being held in this forum on the first day of the show. The emphasis here will be on water, wastewater and recycling, above all with regard to the implementation of EU standards.

Also featured in the program on April 16 is the presentation of the GWP Award Turkey, sponsored by German Water Partnership. This award goes to young engineers for outstanding work in the field of sustainable wastewater management. On the second day of the show GWP will be also be presenting general activities and cooperations with local partners in Turkey.

Under the title of "The Legal Framework for the Water Sector. Turkish, German and EU Regulations – Implementation and Solutions," the German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste (DWA – Deutsche Vereinigung für Wasser, Abwasser und Abfall) is organizing its conference program on the second day of the show. In addition, on April 18, the DWA will be looking at specific case studies on the subject of "Energy Efficiency in the Wastewater and Water Sector".

In cooperation with the magazine Recycling INDUSTRY and the Accumulator Importers and Producers Assn., there will be a congress on April 17 on the theme of "International Cooperation and Financial Opportunities for the Environmental Technologies Markets." The Turkish National Committee on Solid Wastes, a member of the International Solid Waste Assn., is presenting the "Professor Criton Curi Young Researchers Award" on April 17, as part of a seminar on "Urban Waste Management".
