ADS Presented with National Guard Award

May 28, 2015
The award recognizes employers who provide their Guard and Reserve employees benefits beyond the minimum requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act

Advanced Drainage Systems Inc. (ADS) has received the Above and Beyond award from the Ohio Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). The award recognizes employers in each state who provide their Guard and Reserve employees additional benefits beyond the minimum requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA). ADS was one of 35 Ohio employers chosen from more than 1,000 nominees.

"At ADS, we strive to support our employees, our communities and especially the members of our armed services," said Kevin Talley, vice president of human resources for ADS. "It is always gratifying to be able to go ‘above and beyond’ for those dedicated individuals who serve our country, particularly those who are dedicated ADS employees. We are especially grateful for their service. "

ESGR was established in 1972 to develop and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve service. Paramount to ESGR's mission is encouraging the employment of Guardsmen and Reservists who bring integrity, global perspective and proven leadership to the civilian workforce.

This was not the first time ADS has been recognized by ESGR. In April 2013, the ADS Ludlow, Mass., facility was also presented with the Massachusetts ESGR Above and Beyond Award. In addition, the Ludlow, Mass., facility manager, David Pare, received the Massachusetts ESGR Patriot Award. The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees.
