Two names in the water and wastewater industry have joined forces for the U.K. municipal sector. Mixers and pumps made by Landia UK, including the Landia chopper pump will be sold via the Ham Baker Group, which has grown in recent years to become a £30 million-plus resource for flow control equipment.
“Very much in keeping with our belief in engineered, long-lasting solutions, Landia’s equipment is second to none for its reliability and longevity,” said Ham Baker Group Business Development Director Ian Goddard. “Then there’s the company behind the equipment, established in 1933, which no surprise, takes huge pride not just in its products, but the back up it gives to its customers.”
Landia’s pumps, mixers and aerators are already in operation a number of U.K. municipal regions, including Severn Trent Water, Thames Water and Yorkshire Water, with whom it has 180 flowmakers installed as part of a framework agreement.
In addition to pumps, Ham Baker Group’s comprehensive flow control offering also includes PaT (Pump as Turbine) hydro equipment, control systems, leakage control and flood defense products, as well as its traditional expertise in screens, valves and penstocks.
