Thursday, June 25 | 12 p.m. ET/ 11 a.m. CT

Facing an increasing demand on Drinking Water versus groundwater, the San Benito County Water District, in a joint effort with Sunnyslope County Water District, turned to local reservoirs as alternative sources to reduce the impact on the local groundwater basins as well as the hardness and scaling challenges that are common with groundwater. The culmination of efforts led to the construction of the 4.5 MGD West Hills Water Treatment Plant (WHWTP) to include ACTIFLO® Carb. This presentation will focus on the project history, it's drivers, and the operational aspects of how this alternative approach has helped to successfully meet the District's goals.
