Gradiant Corp. Creates Indian Subsidiary for Industrial Water

April 10, 2018

The new section will focus on zero liquid discharge requirements

On April 9, 2018, Gradiant Corp., which focuses on solutions for industrial wastewater treatment, announced the creation of a new Indian subsidiary resulting from the company’s success in the region. The new subsection is named Gradiant India Pvt. Ltd., and will focus on zero liquid discharge (ZLD) solutions, aiding industrial facilities in reducing their water footprints.

While product development and engineering support will stay under the purview of the parent company, Gradiant India will provide local leadership, sales and service personnel. The new team will be led by Ravi Selvaraj, who has more than 30 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment and emphasizes the importance of ZLD technology.

“With ZLD requirements in place for wastewater producers across India, innovative solutions have gained in popularity as facilities throughout the country seek cost-effective options,” Selvaraj said. “We are excited to help solve these issues using Gradiant’s technologies, which reduce the life-cycle cost to treat and recover water for many industries.”

The company’s initial foray into India began in 2017 when it started providing water solutions to the area, including its humidification-dehumidification system, Carrier Gas Extraction. The system acts as an evaporator that resembles nature’s rain cycle in order to properly treat water.

The initial round of funding carried out by the company along with local and strategic partners will take place in May 2018.
