McElroy Adds Fortiline to Pipe Fusion Machine Distributor Network

McElroy, a manufacturer of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe fusion equipment, added Fortiline Waterworks to its network of distributors.

Fortiline, headquartered in Concord, N.C., is one of the largest distributors of underground utility products in the U.S. It will now be selling and servicing McElroy fusion equipment and providing operator training to customers throughout the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest.

“We are very excited about our partnership with Fortiline and their dedication to the pipe fusion industry,” said McElroy President Chip McElroy.  

Fortiline created an HDPE Fusion Group within the company in August to provide customers with complete infrastructure product solutions.

“HDPE pipe is a growing product segment within the industry and with many of our customers,” said Fortiline President and COO Mike Swedick. “Fortiline created an HDPE Fusion Group to better focus our resources in this area and respond to our customers’ growing HDPE needs."

Fortiline has an extensive background in in HDPE as well as fusion techniques, fusion equipment and training. They are particularly experienced in assisting municipalities and utility contractors on HDPE water and wastewater projects.
