CHEM-FEED® MD3 – The Multi-Diaphragm Chemical Dosing Pump that Won’t Vapor Lock & Won’t Lose Prime

The CHEM-FEED® MD3 Chemical Metering Pump features a Duplex Head Design that Delivers Precise Chemical Dosing to Water and Wastewater Treatment Applications.

The low shearing pumping action of MD3 incorporates Dual Diaphragm Hyperlink Drive Technology which pumps chemical at a steady even flow rate. MD3 is self-priming and will not vapor lock.

How does MD3 differ from the others? Pumps equipped with a single diaphragm have a pumping cycle that consists of a suction and discharge phase. The resulting intermittent pumping of chemicals, specifically during the suction phase of the cycle, can cause gas to buildup in the pump head, which in turn may cause vapor lock and loss of prime.

This is where the alternative of a Duplex Head Design makes all the difference. With MD3 when the first diaphragm is in the suction phase, the second diaphragm is in the discharge phase. This results in gaseous fluids being continuously pumped through the pump head and out. No Vapor Lock and No loss of Prime, just smooth and precise chemical dosing.

The hybrid MD3 diaphragm metering pump has an excellent turndown ratio of 2000:1 resulting in a broad range of feed rate possibilities between zero and full-on, and MD3 delivers this smooth chemical dosing with no pulsation dampener required. With 380 strokes per minute, you can count on CHEM-FEED MD3 to deliver near-continuous flow.

The MD3 is engineered and built to provide long service life even at high pressures, and no pressure regulator is required. The pump design is also 50% more energy efficient than similar units currently available.

The thoughtfully designed MD3 is equipped with sonic welded manifolds to prevent chemical leaks and features a zero-maintenance brushless DC drive.

Ordering is straightforward and all inclusive: A single model includes all necessary components for installation. The drop-in-place design of CHEM-FEED® MD3, along with conveniently built-in controls, make installation, set-up and operation simple and efficient.
