Contract Services Group in Litchfield, Ill., achieves 20 years without lost-time accident

American Water announced that its Contract Services Group is celebrating 20 years without a recordable, lost-time accident at its Litchfield, Ill., facility. The employees were recognized for reaching this milestone at the Litchfield City Council meeting July 21, 2016.

“Safety is paramount to our company and we are honored to be celebrating 20 years without a recordable, lost-time incident at Litchfield,” said Dave Kitzmiller, regional vice president of operations for American Water. “Our Litchfield team continues to demonstrate its commitment to achieving a safe workplace and providing operational excellence to the city of Litchfield.”

American Water’s Contract Services Group has served as the city of Litchfield’s partner for more than 20 years, providing operation and maintenance services for the wastewater treatment system. The company also manages the sludge disposal program for the wastewater treatment system.
