Evaporation is not only a natural phenomenon, but also a clean separation technology that has been recognized as a powerful technique for several industrial wastewater treatment processes to completely separate heavy metals, salts, boron, hardness ions, phosphates, surfactants and solids, which reduces wastewater volumes and produces high quality, reusable distillate for zero liquid discharge applications.

PRAB Evaled vacuum vaporators are low in energy consumption with a low CO2 footprint and no air emissions. Unlike other atmospheric evaporators that lose valuable energy through air emissions and may require an air permit or waiver for compliant operation, these evaporators operate as a closed loop system under vacuum. They have one inlet and two discharge streams—one for concentrate and another for distillate.

For more than 30 years, PRAB evaporators and crystallizers have provided industrial wastewater treatment solutions throughout the world for a range of industrial applications. They are automated with remote control modems and 24/7 operation.
