Aclara Technologies LLC will host hundreds of customers at its annual Aclara Client Conference (ACC), May 5 to 8, 2014, at the Orlando Marriot World Center in Orlando, Fla.
Growing in scope and attendance each year, ACC will employ its largest-ever meeting space to inform attendees about the company’s growing suite of products and services with a forum of speakers, presentations, roundtable discussions, demonstrations and networking opportunities.
“This is by far the most important customer-facing undertaking we do each year,” said Brad Kitterman, president of Aclara Technologies. “The value created bringing this many customers together with more than 100 Aclara employees over a four-day period is the fuel that drives our company.”
Clients will be treated to a hands-on experience at Aclara’s demonstration center, where the company will announce some of its newest products and services, like the iiDEAS data management system, eTWACS for increased communications, Metrum Cellular, offering security, reliability and control over advanced metering infrastructure systems, and a sneak peak at the latest developments for Aclara’s water customers.
“Attending ACC helps me stay current with Aclara’s changing technologies,” said Shane Hermetz, assistant manager at Egyptian Electric Cooperative Assn. in Steeleville, Ill. “The presentations demonstrate new and better ways to use the products and customers learn how to better use the products and services, not only from an Aclara perspective but also from the user’s point of view.”
Conference attendees can get acquainted with Aclara’s new customer portal, Aclara_connect, an advanced, collaborative environment allowing clients access to training materials, forums, case studies, documentation and more on any device. Aclara_connect enables customers to work smarter, build strong relationships with industry peers and subject matter experts, and be better informed about industry trends in the utility marketplace.
Entertainment at the symposium kicks-off with keynote speaker Dan Thurmon, a motivational lecturer, author and recognized expert in delivering peak performances on stage and in the workplace. Other activities include golf and poker tournaments, a 5K run/walk, dinner and live entertainment at B.B. King’s Blues Club in Pointe, Orlando, and a tour of the local Harley Davidson plant, followed by a night of socializing and networking at King’s Bowl.
Aclara recently was acquired by an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners Inc.
