Chemical Feed Pump Will Not Vapor Lock or Lose Prime

Oct. 19, 2022

The advanced performance features of Blue-White®’s FLEXFLO® M3 Peristaltic Chemical Dosing Pumps includes a bright, easy to access and highly responsive 5-inch display screen. The intuitive screen is as simple to operate as a cell phone, even while wearing work gloves. The icons are quickly recognizable and the text is easy to read.

In addition to legacy communications such as 4-20mA, the M3 offers advanced communication protocols, including Profibus, Modbus TCP and Ethernet IP. The superior design of the M3 includes firmware that can be field updated.

Additionally, M3 may be ordered with Blue-White’s exclusive Flex-A-Prene multichannel tube technology. Flex-A-Prene experiences extended tube life and provides excellent chemical resistance. These qualities result in reduced maintenance time and expense.

Additionally, these innovative pump head tubes provide optimal performance while operating at higher pressures than conventional single tube designs. The multi-tube design can deliver tube life of up to four times greater than average single tubes.

In the event a pump head tube should rupture, the FLEXFLO M3 is equipped with Blue-White’s built-in Tube Failure Detection system. This technology detects a wide range of conductive chemicals with no false triggering. If the TFD detects tube failure, the pump will automatically shut off and energize a relay switch. This permits communication with external equipment, such as a back-up pump or alarm. It also serves to prevent chemical spills and added downtime.

FLEXFLO pumps are equipped with Blue-White’s quick-disconnect fittings. These fittings are designed to aid in ensuring operator safety by helping prevent chemical spills and splashing during tube changes.

Peristaltic metering pumps have been proven to be accurate, dependable and to provide long service life in a multitude of commercial, industrial and municipal chemical metering applications. The M3 will not vapor lock or lose prime even when dosing off-gassing chemical like PAA or Sodium Hypochlorite; the continuous flow and smooth pumping action of FLEXFLO M3 will not damage long chain polymers.
