Membrane Chemicals Minimize Fouling

June 12, 2014
The membrane chemicals are formulated to extend the performance of reverse osmosis membranes

AXEON Water Technologies offers a line of proprietary chemicals formulated to minimize the harmful effects of foulants, maximize the efficiency of systems and extend the performance of the reverse osmosis membranes.

AXEON S-100 antiscalant is formulated for feedwaters with the highest levels of metal oxides, silica and scale-forming minerals. It works with up to 150 grains of hardness, and possibly higher, keeping the system running smoothly and lowering the chance of fouling.

AXEON F-25 antifoulant is an anticoagulant and antifoulant for treating feedwaters with high potentials for fouling by silt, organics, colloids and fine particulates. AXEON’s antifoulant is effective in reducing membrane fouling when processing waters with high SDI values, and provides a cost-effective solution to expensive pretreatment equipment.

AXEON C-10 membrane cleaner is formulated to remove mineral scale and metal oxides such as iron and AXEON C-20 membrane cleaner to remove organic material and biological debris, both ideal for prolonging the life of the membrane.

All of AXEON’s membrane chemicals are safe to use and certified under ANSI/NSF Standard 60 for drinking water production, ensuring high quality water is produced. AXEON chemicals are compatible with all major manufacturer’s reverse osmosis and nanofiltration membranes.
