Hybrid Bolted Tank System Offers High Performance, Low Life-Cycle Cost

Nov. 9, 2015
Company designs, manufactures & installs four major types of steel storage tanks

Tank Connection’s hybrid bolted tank system combines the best attributes of concrete, bolted steel and aluminum construction into a premier water storage tank containment system. This system provides superior performance over other types of tank construction, including flanged panel bolted designs, flat panel designs, field-welded and concrete construction.

The hybrid bolted tank system consists of the following:
• Tank sidewall—bolted rolled, tapered panel (RTP) tank sidewall design;
• Coating system—LIQ Fusion 7000 FBETM;
• Cover—aluminum geodesic dome; and

• Base—concrete with base setting ring.

Tank Connection is recognized as a global leader in storage containment applications. It is the only tank supplier worldwide that designs, manufactures and installs all four major types of steel storage tanks, including bolted RTP, field-weld, shop-weld and hybrid tank designs for water and wastewater liquid storage applications. The best features of bolted and field-weld tank construction have been combined together in the RTP design.

All Tank Connection water storage systems are designed for long-life, low maintenance and a low life-cycle cost.
