FIJI Water Acquired
Roll International Corporation has acquired FIJI Water LLC. The sale was announced Friday and no financial details were disclosed.
Headquartered in Basalt, Colo., FIJI Water is privately held and markets the second largest selling imported water brand in the U.S. The water is sourced and bottled in the Fiji Islands and is sold internationally. Since its launch in 1998 the water has been available in U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Mexico and the Caribbean and South Pacific Islands.
According to sources, FIJI Water will continue to operate as an independent company under the current management team.
Company founder David Gilmour said Fiji Water had been his most satisfying business venture, both personally and professionally. He said he was proud to turn the reins of the exceptional company to a group that shared his vision of quality and excellence.
Gilmour said, "It is with great pride that I turn the reins of this exceptional company over to a group that shares our vision of quality and excellence in all they do. I am confident that the FIJI Water brand will continue to thrive as part of Roll International."
"We are very excited that FIJI Water is now part of our family of Roll International companies," added Stewart Resnick, president, Roll International. "FIJI Water is a premium brand, and is the finest water in the world. We are committed to growing the business and we embrace this exciting opportunity."
The multi-million dollar water bottling company received the US Government's Corporate Excellence Award in Washington last month for being the second largest bottled water exporter to the country and for contributing towards the economy of Fiji.
Roll International is a privately held holding company located in Los Angeles, California.
Among its holdings are Paramount Citrus and Paramount Farms, the world's largest growers and processors of citrus, almonds and pistachios.
